Here's to a Life of Song

Ooo-wee this new album is fun. Surprisingly upbeat and anthematic compared to their first one. This summer is just full of good releases so far. Keep ‘em coming.

It seriously never gets old. They embody so much of my feelings towards the genre. Smart and mature and punk as fuck sans all the hypocritical unoriginal bullshit.

One of these days I’ll start the punk band I’ve always wanted. But in the meantime, I’ll work on the new Friendly Ghost songs.

He did not fail to deliver. 

Been listening to Algernonstop. Seriously though, these guitar parts make me geek out so much. I could listen to the breakdown at about 0:36 all day.

And here’s another one from the new album. I’m reserving all judgement until the album actually comes out or I find the leak… but this is still great.

BWAH! I was just listening to this EXACT song when I saw this. Darlin’, you the best. Love.

I’ve always loved this song. It’s always had a big influence on my drop and open tuning guitar playing too. I’m not sure why this one specifically though, there are like a thousand Smashing Pumpkins-esque songs that sound exactly like this.
