Good times, good times are here again.

It’s been awhile since I posted some Titus. So let’s go with one of my first favorites, even before “The Monitor”, back in the fall of my senior year of high school. Mandy sent me this album track by track over ichat as per our music sharing ritual in her early days of college. She had a hunch that it would help me through the few tough weeks ahead. Did it ever. This album did not relent on my earbuds and speakers for the study halls and car rides to come. I remember being so giddy about the sheer weight of the sound. The fuzz was fuzzier, the punch punchier, and the length length..ier. The lyrics were smart, self-loathing, AND somehow celebratory. And I got that from just the general feeling of them cus, god knows, you can’t understand them half the time anyway because the mix buries them in the thick wall of distortion. But that was even more enticing to me. Thus began my love affair with one of my all time favorite bands.
Who the can argue with a catharsis like this? Listen to those two heavy hitting hooks that only begin to make their appearance halfway through this song.
I think it’s time for me to see them a third time.
